What is Security Link?

Snap-on^® Security Link™ is an integrated scan tool application that provides access to secured vehicle gateways for diagnostics.

Vehicle manufacturers are protecting their vehicles from unauthorized access and cyber threats, by securing vital systems behind gateways.

Snap-on has partnered with vehicle manufacturers to provide seemless access to those secured systems. Security Link™ streamlines the authorization process between you, the scan tool, and the manufacturer, allowing you to directly access secured functions like clearing codes and bi-directional controls (secured functions may vary across OEMs)

To use Security Link, you'll need:

• A compatible Snap-on diagnostic tool, connected to Wi-Fi, with the current software installed
• A Snap-on Technician Profile (free) via the Snap-on CLOUD
• A Vehicle Manufacturer Membership (fees vary)
